Overview
This 8-week course (meeting 4 times) explores the basic principles of biblical interpretation and provides students with key doctrinal foundations and practical principles for reading, studying, understanding and applying the Bible to the contemporary world.

Intended Competencies
Our learning together in community aims to enable learners to:

      • Summarize key elements of the doctrine of Scripture, including the inspiration, authority, sufficiency, clarity, and necessity of Scripture, and begin to understand their implications for life and ministry.
      • Apply principles of observation, interpretation, and application to their study of Scripture.
      • Read Scripture with awareness of how the literary and historical characteristics of the text shape its meaning for us today.
      • Read all of Scripture with a Christ-centered focus.
